This is a sewing pattern and tutorial for children’s shorts in size range 74 (6-9 months) to 152 (12 years).
The Pocket Shorts have a relaxed fit and feature a few optional details for a classic shorts pattern - simple side pockets, top-stitched seams, and an optional faux fly. We have included two lengths- a girl’s length, which is slightly shorter than the standard short length, and a boy’s length, which fits just above the knee.
The step by step tutorial with a lot of pictures makes this pattern beginner friendly. The pattern and instructions are available only in English.
Recommended fabric - Choose a woven or stretchy fabric with medium weight and not too much drape - cotton, linen, gabardine, denim, cord, or other stable pants fabric, or comfy knit fabric of your choice. Jeggings, French Terry, Stretchy denim, or cord will be a great choice.
You will receive a digital PDF file to print on your home computer on A4 or letter paper. An A0 file is included as well.
No physical item will be shipped to you.
Seam allowance is included.

You can sew the shorts either on an overlock machine - serger or on a sewing machine.
