This is a sewing pattern and tutorial for a kid’s T-shirt Dress in size range: 3 months (62) to 12 years (152). The pattern is for knit fabrics.
The T-shirt dress pattern comes with long and short sleeves option. The fit is relaxed and slightly oversized. This pattern features optional side slits, which add some more freedom to move, but also a lovely detail to the garment. This dress is the ideal casual wear. Your child will love a comfortable fit for playtime. This classic sweatshirt dress could be sewn with thicker fabric for the colder months.
This is a beginner-friendly and quick-to-make sewing project.
The pattern is for knit fabrics - use your favorite stretch fabrics -jersey, interlock, French terry, and thicker sweatshirt fabrics are also suitable.
For best results, we recommend using rib knit fabric for the neckline and the cuffs.
